My Goal: provide the best financial advice by eliminating sales agendas, commissions, percentage fees, and the one-size-fits-all approach. Give straight talk, honest answers, and put my clients' interests first. Some call it "Fee-Only, Fiduciary Advice".
After our wedding at the College of the Ozarks in 1997, my wife Darci and I moved from Branson, Missouri to her hometown of Phoenix, Arizona. There, I completed my undergraduate studies in Economics at Arizona State University. After years of amazing personal and professional experiences, we happily returned to the Ozarks in 2006 where my financial services career continued, and her full-time position became caring for our growing family of five.
By 2013, my desire to create an alternative financial advice service led me to the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA).
It soon became apparent that to achieve my goal, I had to leave the corporate environment and build the business myself. So in late 2013, Jim MacKay Financial Planning became a reality.
As of March, 2017 we are registered in the state of Arkansas in addition to Missouri. While we can work with just about anyone, regardless of their location, being registered allows us to serve more people, removing the "de minimus" restrictions. I look forward to working with even more of our great Ozarks neighbors from The Natural State!
